Tiruvuru is geographically and culturally connected to the Coastal and Telangana regions of Andhra Pradesh state. It 82 km from Vijayawada. It is a business centre for nearly 50 villages around it. The population of the town is around 68,000. It is a historical place also. Sri Krishna Deva Raya has visited this place during his Jaitra yatra of Kondapalli in 1540. This is the second major gram panchayat in Andhra Pradesh. The village has developed now with two Engineering Colleges and two B.ED Colleges in addition to the existing Govt junior and degree colleges. The weather is typically hot (30-49°C), and the environment is unpolluted.
