Ananthapuram

Even though Manjeshwar is officially in Kerala, most people belong to Karnataka and speak Kannada and Tulu languages as the Karnataka border is only a few kilometres away. There are two towns in Manjeshwar. The old Manjeshwar is on the western side of the railway station. Most of the old temples and mosques are on this side near the beach. The new Manjeshwar is on the national highway on the eastern side of the railway station. New establishments and eateries are appearing every day on this side of Manjeshwar.
